We have a Vokera Compact combi boiler, about 5 years old.
Today the tap hot water is, at best, tepid, rather than scorching hot as normal. Turned up the dial on the boiler for water temp, with no difference.
Boiler "fires" as normal, within a second or so of the tap being turned the ignition sparks and flames appear with the accompanying "woof!" noise (cover removed to visually check)
Pressure at ~1, as normal since installation
Radiators hot as normal
Soft water area so calcification not expected.
Gas flow to the house seems normal (burners on cooker look fine)

So...hopefully not time to call a plumber as it's xmas and we're skint as it is.

Thanks for any advice

Looked at the hot water thermistor, it's blue (so I'm guessing PN 8484) To change I guess I turn off the water supply to the boiler and just unscrew and replace?.

The Boiler FAQ suggests the problem could be a motorised valve failure, sadly I can't see one like the one pictured.
