Yesterday evening, having had the HW on for a couple of hours, I found out that the water was cold. I then turned a couple of radiators on upstairs and they remained cold.

I then switched off both the HW and CH. Then I bled all the radiators in the house (there was air in a couple of them). I then switched the HW and CH back on. The boiler fires up ok and I can hear the pump working.

After a while I tried the HW again, and still no joy. I then tried the two radiators that I had turned on upstairs and they were still cold. I then switched the HW and CH off again and tried bleeding the rads again. This time, when I bled the upstairs radiators, there was no air but also no water.

The boiler is an Ideal Classic RS 250.

I would be grateful for any ideas/suggestions.

Many thanks.

If it is an open vented system, it may be "NO WATER"!!!! If it is a sealed system, the expansion vessel (at least) needs attention.
