hi guys,
firtst post here... hopefully someone will be able to help me out.

I have a Vaillant turboMAX VUW GB 242/2-5 R2

and the heating pressure is showing at Zero.

It hasn't been used for about a year and I hear that it can need refilling every couple of years or so....

Could someone let me know how I go about that exactly... it is just a case of turning a valve on the inlet pipes to the boiler...? I'm not an engineer so I have no intention of taking the thing apart - rest assured! But I think it should be a maintainance thing I can do myself rather than call out a plumber..

Thanks for any advice in advance.

there should be a braided hose between 2 pipes with quarter turn valves on

or they may have ballofix valves (look like screw heads)

quarter turn till 1.5 then turn back
bobs your fannies uncle

Wow!
Such quick and concise advice. Many thanks for that one :)
I think I should be able to cope with a quarter turn - hurrah! :)

Again, thanks,
John
