noise problem from runway

Hello,

I am trying to sell a 17th floor flat that is close to the London City Airport runway. The noise from the aircraft during takeoff is clearly an issue for potential buyers. My query is; can I improve the sound insulation? My flat has double glazed upvc windows; it seems to me that fitting a third pane of glass would improve the problem somewhat. But is this possible at reasonable cost?


Any suggestions are welcome.

Secondary glazing with 6.4 laminate ' silence ' , ideally 120mm away from existing window should help, won't eradicate it though...
