noisey Bosch exceel wte84307gb13 tumble dryer

My tumble dryer has started to make a lot of noise when in use. It is a metallic noise coming from the back of the drum, when the drum is empty you can see a wire about half the diameter of a metal coat hanger that seems to have come from the outside of the drum hanging loose. As the drum turns it hits this wire causing the noise.
What is this wire and is it easy/cheap to replace, or should I just put up with the noise?

It's poss a bra wire try and pull it out

no, it appears to be running in a spiral from middle outwards and from the size of it looks like it has come from the edge of the drum.
