Hi,

We have two loos - one upstairs and one downstairs. Starting about a month ago when you flush the loo or a few seconds afterwards there is a very loud vibration which you can feel when holding the cold tap. It sounds like the Queen Mary leaving port! It doesn't always happen though. Any ideas anybody please?

The one in the ballvalve in the cistern. Also look for loose/ unsupported pipework. Many bottom inlet valves have a 'support screw' which should stop the head of the valve from starting the vibration. Thread this along so that it touches the side of the cistern then tighten the locknut/s
