I have bosch maxx wfl2260- which is 10 year old is making low grinding noisy on the spin cycle also when not in use if i turn the drum either clockwise or anti it makes that grinding noise. (the noise is not very loud).
any help /advise will be appreciated.(the Mrs thinks there is burning smell but this was few weeks ago when i found the rubber seal was no good and changed it) thanks

Low grinding noise is an indication of motor or more commonly drum bearings going.

Do you have movement up and down of the inner drum when you lift it from the front edge. Remove the belt and spin the drum do you still get the noise if so it sounds like drum bearings failing.

thanks leccy758 for the reply. 1.when i lift the drum as suggested i don't get any movement.Mrs thinks the noise is more squeaky then grinding!! For me to open the machine and do part 2 of your suggestion will have to wait for the time being. Thanks again for the help.
