Noisy Combi when only water is active!

My Combi boiler is only noisy when the heating goes off and only the water is on. I would like to know what is wrong before I either try to fix or get a engineer out to it.

It's a Vokera not sure on model because I'm at work so will look tonight. The guy next door has the same boiler with the same problem and he had somebody out to have a look at it and he said it was the fan. But it cost him £190 just to change it. I have looked on line and the top price for a fan is around £100. So if I can do the job myself it will save me £90. Is this a job that can be done easily or is it better I get somebody out to fix this problem.

Why not go back to solid fuel and do away with fangled wall mounted complicated fanned flue boilers and save loads of money.

There are two prices one is £45 and the other is £100 but have different part numbers. I would rather over estimate than under.
