I have a vent axia mv250 multifan in my apartment that has become very noisy to the point that we don't want to switch it on.

I was hoping for some advice on whether this could be fixed, whether I should get a replacement part (e.g. motor) or whether the whole unit should be replaced? Obviously I'm hoping that I won't need to go to the expense of replacing it!

The sound is a loud whirring noise. I have uploaded some pictures and a video of the unit running in case that helps.

From what I can see a replacement multifan (e.g. Vent Axia) is going to be upwards of £300.

Appreciate any advice on what I should do.

Cheers,
huw

In case anyone else with a similar problem stumbles across this thread. I managed to work around this problem by lowering the speed of the fan. You can set the speed from high, medium or low depending on which point you connect the negative wire to. See the installation guide for more info.
Happy as it saved me £300+
