hi I have whining noises coming from some taps when turned on and some toilets when flushed. any suggestions please as to what this can be?

Are these taps / toilets fed from the loft cistern, or on the mains? It could be the float valve washer vibrating, water hammer, due to pipework that may need more clips to secure it. Could also need a washer replacing, a new inlet float arm, etc.
