Noisy wall vent

Have a wall vent in the corner of the living room. Living room wall faces on to a busy junction. In the last few months we've been more aware of road noise through the vent. Have never touched the thing internally. Looked at external part as best we could (from window in second floor tenament flat) and it appears to be undisturbed.

Any ideas?
