Our new slate roof is dragging on - over 7 weeks now. During this time we have had 4 seperate leaks via membrane protected bits only. including one massive with buckets and buckets of water. As the fibre glass insulation is now either damp or soaking should this just be left.

The weather has been bad, and I have said before membranes are not totally waterproof. Maybe your guy could put a sheet over the problem area until it's slated. (If it's not holed that is)

The insulation will need to be replaced it probably already smells like cats pee..

Thanks for the info. I do actually live on Isle of Man and the weather has not been too bad ( Could not find a IoM box catergory) Had to roofer to leave site after verbal abuse and more exusuces today, for those on the mainland having trouble with traders-- never ever move to the island, the customer is always wrong.
