Non-Return Shower Check Valve ½"

Hi all,

will a Non-Return Shower Check Valve ½" fit to a standard flexible washing machine filler hose? I am getting flow back when I turn on the sink tap and so would like to fit one of these. http://www.screwfix.com/p/non-return-shower-check-valve/71542

you should not be getting backflow from the machine as they should have a factory fitted device.
But if you are a single check valve will do.

Sorry, I meant from the hose...it is a new hose and we get a plasticy taste unless we run the water. We are not getting water from the machine.

So the one in the link will be ok?

Washing machine fittings are 3/4" BSP so not sure if that has the correct size thread. Think that one's for the shower hose.
