I have searched the forums but cannot find anything similar to my problem.

When the boiler fires up I can hear a very quiet 'popping' noise in the boiler and rads. It goes after a bit, but comes on again when the boiler fires back up. Is this the start of kettling?

EDIT: Boiler is potterton nettaheat electronic.

sure it aint expansion and contraction of pipes through the floor? Or maybe heat finding its way to the raidators. You would know if you have kettling and your boiler will be hissing very loud!
