the through connectors look useful so I dont see why wago dont do their own "proper" version.

I did buy a set of through connectors for testing and temp connection purposes and very useful they have been

Ooh, I can think of so many occasions I could have used those - especially the 3 pole ones (with pre-harmonised colours).

I remember finding the push in connector block back in 1980, they did not have levers on them, but the maintenance free connector has been around for at least 40 years, well before Wago appeared.
