Oak porch to dwarf wall

Hi,

We are building an oak porch and have a dwarf wall already built. What's the best way of attaching the uprights to the dwarf wall, preferably without seeing any brackets.

Is it possible to drill into the dwarf wall and upright and insert a length of threated bar with resin.
If so, what length bar and thickness?
The oak porch is 6 x 6.

Oak will rot mild steel so if you are using screwed rod make sure it is 316 grade stainless steel
