Ocean Alpha 240p Gas Control locked off

Hi,

I have managed to turn the Gas Control switch on my boiler past the off and it is locked facing downwards. I can get the pilot to light but it just goes out, it seems that there is now no gas entering the boiler. Is it possible to return the Gas Control switch so that it works correctly again?

remove the two screws on the front and lower the panel. you can turn everything back to normal. then spend an eternity trying to relight the pilot.

it really is one of them most frustrating and badly designed pilot systems of all time. i lit one with a blowtorch once. nothing else would do it.
