Odd cable what is it outside of house

Just measuring up for new fascia to get vent for loft but
Along fascia is a cable est 12mm diameter it does not go into my house, and after following along the road it does the same all the way only terminated by grey boxes not on every house and not going into any homes along the way.
Ideal I'd chop and run away for my benefit as it would be the easy option but i will end up doing something with it

What sort of supply cable have you got, overhead or underground?

I wouldnt chop that off. Looks like either a mains cable or a BT cable.

Difficult to tell for sure, but looks like some old communal TV distribution? Does the terrace share one aerial?

Power is underground.
BT is off poles.
not sure about aerial seems odd no junction on every house may have to ask next door about putting ladder up or even ask the old girl the other next door about her family house since new ( 1903)
