Hi there,

I have a bit of an odd problem, I turned on my kitchen lights which are two separate lights either end of the kitchen on the same switch, but what is odd is that the same of my through lounge was also not working but the other end of my lounge was working.

Now a couple of hours later the lights came back on and we're working fine.

The only thing is that I'm decorating my hallway at the moment and I have loosened the screws on the light in the hallway but not dropped it completely but that light is fine.

I have just realised that If i turn the hallway lights off then the others can be turned on but If i turn the hallway lights back on it turns the other lights back off.

Many thanks,

Gordon

I assume they were all working fine prior to loosening of the ceiling rose and you have not replaced, taken off and refitted any other accessories.

So on my assumption, what possibly has happened that at least one conductor has become slightly loose within on of the fittings you have dropped and is making erratic contact during switching.
