Hello

Is it ok to put off cuts of plasterboard as sound insulation behind hardie board which will be tanked on an internal stud bathroom wall? I’ve got 25mm jablite in there already.

or will they soak up condensation and go mouldy etc…

condensation from where?
I do it all the time with surplus board if theres no skip on the job ,since the local tip stopped us going in.

Thanks. I’ll pop them in, save a 15 mile round trip to the tip. Im maybe a little obsessed with the idea of water vapour at the moment!

then install a vapour barrier. but there’s probably no need.
