I had a Bristan Rio built in shower valve, which broke so the plumber suggested replacing it with Mira as a much better make.
Well the Bristan has a rectangular concealing plate, the measurements have been taken and a new Mira Element BIV purchased. It appeared the the circular Mira plate would be larger than the Bristan plate. Um yes, if you only measure the shortest length of the Bristan plate!!
I have a rectangular cut out in the tiles, larger than the circular Mira plate.
My options are as I see it:
1. Return the Mira and replace the Bristan ignorring the plumber's advice.
2. Remove 2 tiles and replace? I do have spare tiles and grout, but will be a tricky job?
3. Find a large blank concealing plate?
Any thoughts?
Thanks
