Had a bit of an incident a weeks ago , which involved a burst pipe flooding our boiler , literally.
I am now face with having to replace the boiler , hoping to get some of the money via insurance.
The problem is the old boiler , was very old , Redfyre pot , and I don't know whether to go for an straight boiler , upgrade system and fit an oil combi , or try to eliminate this problem by getting an external boiler.
Any reccomendations and best makes would be great . 3 bed average bungalow.
Also these thing don't seem to be cheap so best deals would be helpful.
Thanks
Stu.

Have a look at the Grant range. They do Externel Combis, fitted a few no problems.

If you do decide to go for a Combi/, stay well clear of the new Worcester Heatslave, a disaster waiting to happen

Firebird are very good. We had a lot of problems with water jackets leaking on Grant boilers & long term they are very high maintenance.
