I have a wooden floor which i laid 3 yrs ago. It is oak and was sanded and treated with treatex.

It now has accumulated quite a bit of dirt staining and i i going to have a go with my belt sander on the bad areas.

After i have done this could i use french oil to re-oil or should i buy a specialist floor treatment. I have not been that impressed with my current floor treatment however.

treatex is one of the best hardwax oil teatments out. Like any hardwax oil finish it needs cleaned and maintaned properly. you could probably salvage it by buying the treatex maintenace kit
