Hi I've just changed the oil on my 1.6 09 petrol Focus with 5w30 a1 magnatec. The oil that came out was black as per usual and I had to leave it draining overnight because the light faded on me before I could finish it. When I filled it back up this morning the dipstick is showing the oil to be a bit milky. Could this be because I used oil I'd opened 6 months ago or a bit of moisture has got into the sump while the plug was off overnight? Does this sound more like condensation than anything else? I haven't had chance to give it a long run yet.

Thanks

Unless you can actually see water in it I wouldn't worry, if it does have moisture in it, it will soon evaporate when the engine gets hot.

And keep a wee eye on the coolant and oil level's ............

Yeah I think I was worrying for no reason - gone after a long drive! Thanks for the replies.
