Hi as per title. My son's 15 year old Mégane is parked at our house while he's away. Alarm keeps going off intermittently. I have disconnected main car battery to hopefully stop it going off again. Is it alright to leave the battery unconnected for a few days until we can get it sorted by someone?
Thanks

Yes it won't do any harm.

Hopefully you know any radio codes if there are any (not a major issue though).

I normally put old rubber gloves over the disconnected leads so that they can't contact the battery terminals again and cause sparks.

You should be able to lock the car manually with the key.

If it doesn't have a working manual key don't slam the bonnet shut; leave it easy to access the battery again for reconnection without needing any power for the car

If you're paranoid that it's gonna get nicked if unlocked, leave a wire connected to the positive lead (not positive terminal) and trailing out of the engine bay somewhere accessible so you can connect jump leads to it to power the car up enough to use the central locking
