Morning
I was wondering if someone could please advise.
I have an S Plan sealed CH system. The system boiler is in the garage. The 2 port motorised valves are up on the top floor - one for CH and the other for the HW.
I plan to insulate and convert the garage in a general purpose room and was thinking about having another radiator ( with a TRV ) installed by connecting it directly to the flow and return at the boiler.
I understand that this radiator would only be heated when there was a call by the thermostat in the hall ( which would open the CH 2 port valve and power up the boiler and pump ) and that the lockshield valve would have to be screwed almost closed other wise the radiator would be acting as a fixed by pass and steal all the heat plus the flow.
Are there any downsides to doing this apart from the lack of control ?
Thanks
