This is a "credit where it's due" posting.
I have a B4100 convenience desktop "laser" printer. It's my second OKI, I had the previous model for 7 years before the drum reached end of life.
I like it because it gives a good crisp print, and you can replace the toner without buying a new drum, so it's economical to use.
The current one, I bought in Oct 2005.
Last Thursday it stopped working.
I found the maker's website, and emailed with the error number and saying its age, although the 12-month warranty had expired, I didn't think it had given good service, and asked what to do. This was 8pm Thursday.
Friday morning I had a reply, saying there was a known fault, asked for serial number.
This morning (Monday) I had a brand new one delivered!
I'm very pleased
