old bolier, cool water

vaillant boiler 25yrs old, recently the water is not very hot once the CH has gone off, fine when it is on. Have cleaned the diverter valve, but makes no difference. Any ideas, I dont want to buy a new boiler, which is all the suggestions I get from experts!

You're asking the wrong expert, wait for DP!
Vaillants that age were built to last - really expensive at the time.
It would be nice to know what model it is though!

too right it was expensive!! I think it is VCW-sine 18 T3 W combi boiler

Sounds right. The T is for Titanium which is what the heat exchanger is made of.
