Moved into a 40+ yr old bungalow just over a month ago. The floorboards are really creaky in most places, which is a nightmare when you get up early and try to avoid waking others in the house. Pulled the carpet back a tad to try and see what was under there, and just wonder if any advice can be given with just this little information and picture?

Ultimately I'd like to remove the carpet in the living room, fix the squeeky floorboards, then add new underlay and decorate with wood flooring.

Thanks.

A right pain fixing the, as they look like T&G floorboards. To stop the creaks you would need to pva glue every joint. You could multi tool each joint in the bad areas but have to be careful doing that.
