I was on a job today with a plumber who as been in the trade at least 20yrs, he was changing a 1970s system to a modern combi system in an old house, only his 22mm fittings would not fit the old pipe so he cut a bit off and placed it on a level surface with a piece of new 22mm copper pipe and you could see it was 1mm bigger, he has never come across this before so I thought I would ask if any of you lot had seen this before.
