we are widening the drive. had some ancient concrete slabs - want to replace with gravel and perhaps slab pathways floating on gravel base
Actually the old slabs were still pretty level.. I have lifted them and there is some dusty stone chippings - maybe some are 50 mm wide ( picture attached ) there is the add root here and there?
plan is to smash up some hard core ( bricks and ancient red brick tiles ) - maybe spread this gravelly stuff over it.. whacker plate it down
then get another few bags of MOT type 1 - and whacker plat that down... total 150mm ( ish )
then 50 mm of 10 mm gravel ( ala Travis Perkins )
am I on the right track?
