Hi all,

My parents are having there magnetic filter replaced which was a boilermag which is 3 years old , when fitted I believe the plumber used the inhibitor which came with the boilermag, they then had an extension built and I believe the system was drained, changes made and inhibitor added again but I've no idea what inhibitor this plumber used. I was thinking the system once drained and filter replaced should be filled and drained twice to remove any remnants of old inhibitor before adding something like sentinel x100. Is that enough or should I also mains water flush each rad as well.

I'm sure I read online somewhere that you shouldn't mix them and that certain types can react but can't remember where I read it.
