I have the old insulation comprising of lots of tiny balls of something, not sure what? about 2" deep!
I need to rewire and also want to floor the loft, I am presuming that the following plan is about what anyone else would do:-
1. Remove cacky old rubbish (Suitable air filters worn etc!)
2. Relay modern stuff - upto joists where floor will be, 10" or so deep elsewhere.
3. Lay flooring.
4. Consider dry line and insulation of loft walls.
The old insulation has not eaten cables, but then they are rubber
Don't want to leave it in place and find it eats my new cables!
