Old Piperwork in Airing cupboard- Can you Identify?

Looking for some advice, currently updating airing cupboard , and came across this work of Art.

I know there used to be some sort of water tank there , and I have a feeling some radiator pipes came through there before too, I've attached a photo.

I think they are no longer functional, as 2 of the pipes were cut and closed with pliers, so not 100% sealed, and the other 2 I removed the end bolts and no water came out.

Any help would be appreciated

You are more than likely right , they clearly are no longer functional , just cut them off and carry on with your upgrade
