Old Roofing Felt Advice

Hi,

I am cleaning out my mothers garage and found two rolls of Chesterfelt roofing felt (see pic).
It's got to have been there 30+ years untouched. I'm wondering if it would still be fit for purpose for example if she needed to have the flat roofed extension redone ? Or should I tip it if advances in materials have been made which make it past its "best before" date so to speak ?

Try and unroll it.... I bet with the temperature extremes it's experienced, the edges will all be stuck to each other, and into the bin it will need to go.....
