My gran has an old Hoover twin tub from the 1980s T5054 in good working order. The problem is it needs a new fill hose. Phoned Hoover only told to be obsolete (their favourite word) and yet they told me they stopped making these machine as recent as 1992!. I have told to try long established dealers but there are none in my area. I have been offered a cheapo pattern spare but it does not fit the rinse duct on the machine nor the tap properly. The one I am after is the genuine spare which is a black rubber hose with an anti-syphon adaptor on one end and a fitting for the rinse duct on the other. Is there anyone on here who is an engineer through the twintub era that may have old stock? As trying to locate one is a nightmare.

good luck

i used to work for hp, they made a t t, but as you have found they were rare then, let alone now

I think hotpoint used to make twin tubs right up to the year 2000 but at a cost of £500 and auto cost only £300. I got told that if it had been a hotpoint machine there are loads of fill hoses still available which is a pain

Have you tried This lot I haven't used them (just found them with a google search) but the appear to hold quite a few spares (including hoses) for HP Twin tubs.
