Hi I hope someone can help. My house was built in 1968 and I've just stripped the wallpaper off in the hallway and walls look like they've never been painted its all just grey plaster.

The plaster does not feel that smooth I can feel rough patched of wallpaper glue, do I sand down the walls to remove the glue, also as I wish to paint the bare walls to I need to prep them with any special undercoat?
