my new single oven comes with a normal 3 pin plug can I cut this off and connect to my old connection (much thicker wiring)?
the installation instructions say I need an omnipolar circuit breaker what is one and how do I fit one?

If your new oven has a 13A plug fitted this means it needs to protected by a 13A fuse. Connecting to an existing cooker supply will not achieve this & it will need to be fused down via an FCU (fused control unit) spurred off the old cooker switch or ccu. Or easier still just plug it into a socket, if your cooker switch does not have a socket built in they can usually be changed for one that does.
