on and off boiler

I have a Halstead Wickes combi 102
about 7 years old
It fires up and then extinguishes after a few seconds. If left it will just carry on like this.
The radiators and the water get tepid.
COLD, COLD, COLD.

I know nothing, but a bump may help.
Is there an air lock, is the pump running

Tried the bump several times and pump does appear to be running,
Maybe the next time I try the bump it will be with a big hammer
