Don't worry about that, just be as charming to the quoting RGI's as you are here and they will see you right
As this is clearly outside the diy scope, the best advice is to carefully select a good RGI, and follow his suggestions.
A good RGI does not:
Do the sharp intake of breath.
Recommend budget boilers.
Buy his supplies from diy sheds.
"Forget" to bring his GSR card.
Arrive on a horse.
Leave half the taps in the house running from the tank.
