Opening Carina E Bonnet from outside?

I want to hide my magnetic spare key box under the bonnet. I've had a good look and it seems very difficult/impossible to get at the bonnet catch bowden cable from outside. Is there a way? on other cars I have been able to do it more easily.

or other ideas for hiding the spare key box. I don't want it under the car in mud and spray or where it might fall off. I am not very agile.

I recently had a lost-key event which was quite a problem.

Hi, this maybe a solution to your problem, has your car got a cover over the front or rear towing eye, if so you may be able to hide your key behind there.
