Opening up french doors to bifold

We want to open up our current 1.2m wide french doors in our single storey extension (leads into rear garden) and it 2.4m wide bifolds, to maximise light and possibly in prep for an orangery later in the year

Will i need permission or can I go ahead and get it opened up?
