Optima 701 Ferolli Combi

Hi all

I have an Optima 701 Ferolli combi boiler that works fine on heating and HW but doesnt have timer facility. There is a digital clock face on it (blank though) so i gues its just a case of wiring it up internally. Also we have to manually turn it on and off at the boiler as there is no external thermostat. I would like to install one of these also.

Does anyone know where i might obtain a manual with wiring diagrams etc that would show me how to do this?

It seems that you think that you already have a working timeclock on the boiler but its not been connected for some reason.

It may be a simpler and more useful solution to fit a programable thermostst which will take care of both temperature and timing functions.

These are normally only two wire connections and just go to the appropriate points on the boiler but you may need the manual to find them or they could already be marked.

You are right the website has changed very recently, even my Modena 102 isnt on anymore.

I suppose they dont think that its "modern" any more?

I do have to say that that any manufacturer who does not give proper support to their earlier models does not deserve to continue to sell boilers!

Prodding manufactures to keep earlier models on their web site is something that the CORGI registered engineers Association ( ARGI ) should be doing.
