Ferroli 701 boiler Timer????

Im in rented accomidation and it has a very old Combi Ferroli 701 Optima CH system. I dont have a clue how to work the timer. ive looked on the Website at the manuals, but they only have the new model on there, which has a digital clock. My boiler dont have a clock, its a circle with numbers which represent the time, and a dial and like little buttons all along it that can be pressed...
PLEASE help!!

Dont know if you can put a pic up for clarification? Usually this type of clock you push the tappets 'out' for periods you want it on, leave them 'in' when you dont want it on.
