I installed an optima8 at home several years ago, which has been trouble free until recently. I have two remote keypads, front and rear of the house at either exit/entry point. I put both front and rear exit contact circuits on the one exit zone of the control panel. This has been fine for several years
The now have a fault, however, whereby the panel does not set on exit, it doesn't seem to recognise an exit. Instead the keypad displays red fault led and is not issuing the usual "increasing" timed exit tone. Both f&r exit contacts appear to be functioning.
Does anyone know what it might be due to and/or how to go about resolving this?

Sounds like a corroded contact. Take them out and join the wires to check. Only about £1.50 each.

I still have the problem with the exit zone on the optima8. The contacts meter ok and are not corroded. I no longer have the instruction manuaal so I don't know if I can set up another zone as the exit zone should I be unable to fix this problem. Can anyone through some light on what's wrong & what options I have please
Many thanks
Will
