long story - but I've accidentally changed the user code for my optima compact 6 and can't work out what I've set it to. how do I reset it to defaults - I don't have the engineers code and to loks like the installer is no longer around - where can I get hold of the engineer manual

You have to reset the NVM.

Power down, disconnect battery, remove wires from terminals X & Y, link X & Y and power up with battery.

I cannot remember atm which terminal numbers they are, but I've got a manual downstairs. If you want to know, e-mail me.

The engineering information (installation manual), that I have states: -

"To reset panel to factory reset conditions". Within 5 seconds of powering up the panel, press reset, reset and sounder should bleep in panel.

The telephone number for help is 08448000235/260. I think the first number is for ADE direct; and the second is for the parent company, now: - Honeywell.
