Hello,

I have an old alarm, optima xm.

The battery was very old/US, and power was removed from the panel for over 5 hours.

When trying to power back up with the new battery/mains the panel goes into alarm mode and will not respond to any key pad actions. Tried 9999 engineer etc without any joy.

Any ideas ?

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks Jo, I'll give it a go, and let you know. I was reading about the nvm on the instructions from the internet, but your link looks better. Cheers.

Hi Jo,

I'm going to attempt to clear the nvm later this afternoon.
I have a quick question please.

Where the instruction states ..... 3) Remove all wires from terminals 9 and 19.

I take it this means those two terminal only, and all other wiring remains in place ?

Thanks.
