OPTIMA XM6 - re-locating the control box

How do I re-locate the Optima XM6 alarm control box without the alarm going off? Obviously I need to get at the fixing screws, but the alarm goes off when I remove the cover. My usual alarm code stops the alarm but the process starts again when I try to remove the cover.

Is there a code I must use before "tampering" with the cover? The job is held up. Can anyone help, please?
