Hello. could someone please tell me how i can open a pir on an optima xm6 alarm system.
The two attachment pics show that there does not appear to be any screws to remove.
However, the pir plastic cover appears to be fitted together in two halves down the sides. Is there a right way to open the unit
to replace the pir if it goes wrong. If it does go wrong and to avoid the alarm siren box being activated is it correct to
omit the respective pir zone to start with or to put the alarm into engineers mode or is there another method.
Thank you for your help.

The PIR retaining screw is at the bottom at the back.

That looks to be missing, so the front cover should come off. may use a slotted screw driver to help ease apart, any paint on the seem should be removed first.

when you take the cover off you should see a screw the fixes the PIR to the ceiling bracket.

once that is removed, you should be able to separate the PIR from the bracket, to show a screw going up into the celling
