Zone 6 fault show/ replace PIR

I have an Optimax XL6 - backlighting Microprocessor Alarm.

When I try to set the alarm Zone 6 red light shows up and it bleep indefintely and the alarm is never set.

The only way round this I found was to OMIT out zone 6 and then I can set the alarm when leaving the house.

Has the Zone 6 PIR gone faulty ir something else?

I have purchased a new PIR to replace. Can someone please advise best practice to replace. I was going to do:-

1. Turn off power at mains Power
2. Open Panel cover and remove battery leads
3. Open PIR and remove all wires in OLD PIR
4. Install new PIR and connect wires as per old connections.
5. Connect battery, close panel, Turn on Mains Power

Is this ok, or have I missed something. I don't want the Alarm going off AND I want to work on the alarm with all MAINS power down (Safe).

Well, if it does not 'go off' when you do your nos. 1&2 you have a problem with your outside sounder.
